Note: This is a quote from a small passage on a small Chinese PCB website.
This morning a friend tells more that he is going to Huizhou, because his company--a small PCB factory in Shenzhen is moving there. I remembered a few years ago, we came to Shenzhen together and started our dream in this PCB factory. I left only in 6 months after but my friend stayed there, for years.
Now, the boss of this PCB factory claim that the rent of land and labor in Shenzhen is so high, he could not afford, so a moving is a must to keep the factory alive and further develops.
Dormitory now is empty, every room can live 8 persons, the oldest up/down type twin beds with steel, no air conditioner. My friend tells me after moving to Huizhou, their new dorms will be much better. With AC and water heater, that's why most of the employees agree to move together with factory.
This is the current dormitory building, the outside used be hang with clothes with thousands of colors. Now people gone, the days are gone.
Employees have already carried their luggage to downstairs, they are waiting for their bus to carry them to Huizhou. The PCB company hired 2 buses, the first round has left already now the second round is waiting, need about 1 hour. The equipment have been already sent to Huizhou and assembled, the workers are the last to send, because once they arrive in Huizhou, they can start PCB manufacturing the next day.
From 2016 to 2019, so many small PCB factories left Shenzhen, some of them are just dead, some of them are forced to be closed because of environmental reasons, some of them moved to smaller cities for cheaper land rent and labor.
